Spring Break 2012 - Taking over Atlanta! Day 1

We met up in Atlanta with a few of our homeschool friends for a quick Spring Break trip.  It was such an awesome weekend!  We all planned our own activities and met up when were able to.  Definitely a much needed get away before the baby gets here.

Saturday we made reservations at Medieval Times for lunch.  Wow!  I'm not sure what my expectations were, but they by far outdid them.  Hubby kept saying how much it must be costing them to keep the production going all these years.  We were assigned to the Red Knight's cheering section.  Although, he was eliminated in the first battle - it was still a wonderful show.  The horses were absolutely breathtaking.

The boys were in awe during the entire performance!  They couldn't wait to buy their own sword after it was over to have all the knights sign.

Sunshine hung in there, but was more impressed with the food - which was also pretty fantastic!

Spring Pictures

Zep's Saxon spring pictures!

Just for the record - we don't stay in PJs all day...just until about 10 o'clock!  Another joy of homeschooling!  :)

Go Marlins!

Bright Eyes has started his second season of baseball (T-ball).  Hubby and I have been huge slackers when it comes to spending time with him in pre-training.  He seems to be holding his own though.  They haven't had to bring out the tee for him at any of the games.  He's not afraid when the ball is coming toward him but still hasn't figured out exactly how to catch it.  And he's actually really accurate with his throwing.  It's been super fun watching him play!  He looks so tiny out there in the outfield.

I'm loving the color of their Florida Marlins shirts this season; they go so well with his beautiful bright blue eyes!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is my daddy's birthday.  He's been gone for 10 years - I still can't believe it's been that long.  I think about him all the time.  I still cringe sometimes when my brother calls and for a second I hear my daddy's voice in his.  I dream about what kind of grandfather he would've been.  No doubt, he would've tortured them horribly - playing practical jokes on them and of course having them play practical jokes on me.  He would've loved them so much.  I have no doubts.

I love you, daddy, and miss you horribly!
